Not only are they exceptional winemakers but they also know how to throw a party. Over 80 wine appreciators enjoyed a wonderful evening of exceptional wine, food, entertainment and awards. The Provincial Grand Champion Winemaker was crowned…..and where do you think this person resides. Could it possibly be NANAIMO?

Yes, Don Graham was awarded 6 golds, 12 silvers and 4 bronze medals! – how would you like to be married to him…. or at least locked in his cellar for a couple of days!!

Lastly, the evening’s crowning highlight was when Dave Burt – Nanaimo Winemakers’ Past President – was recognized by the BC Winemakers Association for his outstanding contribution to amateur wine making on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland. Dave was awarded the SILVER PIN AWARD. Dave has been instrumental in rejuvenating and inspiring Nanaimo Winemakers; the Clubs’ thriving membership and award winning winemakers are testimony to his leadership these past years. And we thank him:
