Gold, Silver or Bronze? Everyone is a winner at the Nanaimo Winter Olympics of Winemaking! Come out to the 2018 Annual Nanaimo Winemakers Club Competition and Evening Social Award Ceremony.
Enjoy Award Winning Wines & Gourmet Appetizers from Occasional Occasions. Rub shoulders with some of the Gold Medal Winners and recognized leaders in Canadian wine making. Talk to the Amateur Winemakers of Canada (AWC) 2017 Grand Champion and discover how easy it is to start on the journey to producing wines you will be proud to serve your friends.
The judging competition starts at 8am with wines entered by winemakers from all over Vancouver Island and the lower mainland.
First time competition winemakers will anxiously await the judges evaluation – a bronze would be nothing to sneeze about……..a silver and you will see a few peacocks strutting at the social…..a gold….well we can only dream!
At 6pm come and join us at the Evening Social and sample some of the award winning wines and gourmet appetizers.
And the Silent Auction is guaranteed to entice you. Nanaimo Winemakers members will be showing their skills with roasted coffee, smoked meats, freeze dried fish, arts, crafts, gourmet food, wine making supplies & paraphernalia, culinary adventures and many donations from local artisans and businesses.
The Silent Auction will be followed by a Not So Silent Auction which you won’t want to miss!
