Nanaimo Winemakers hosted the Provincials Evening Social at the Cavallotti Hall May 25th. Over 80 BCAWA members and guests experienced an evening of wine tasting – including Best in Class awarded wines from the earlier competition – exceptional food, medal awards, entertainment and, of course, auctions.
 
 
 
With over 300 wines earlier judged, there was no shortage of excellent reds, whites, rosés, sparkling and dessert wines to choose from. Charcuterie platters, cheese boards, magnificent prawns (I know I had more than my share!), meat station, salad & gourmet Mac ‘n’ Cheese station and desserts were all on display.
Melissa Hill on keyboard and tango dancers Ivana & Mako provided just the perfect entertainment break; the auctions, wine raffles and medal awards gave everyone the opportunity to go home richer.
